Education
Ján Čarnogurský earned his Master of Law degree from the University of Vienna (1995) and subsequently graduated from the Law Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava (1997), where he was awarded his doctorate in law (JUDr.) in 1999. He later completed his Master of Business Administration at the University of Cumbria.
Academic Career
Following his studies in Vienna, he served as a lecturer at the Department of Central and East European Business Law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration.
Professional Experience
JUDr. Mag. Ján Čarnogurský began his legal career as an articled clerk in 1995. From 2000, he spent over a decade as a partner at a leading multinational law firm with more than 1,500 lawyers worldwide. He is now the Managing Partner of ULC Čarnogurský.
Throughout his career, he has developed extensive expertise in privatisation, mergers and acquisitions, and investment projects. His practice encompasses energy law, banking and finance, real estate, securities, and civil law. He has led legal due diligence for major transactions involving energy companies, chemical manufacturers, banks, insurance companies, and pharmaceutical firms.

Ján Čarnogurský is a registered attorney with the Slovak Bar Association and a certified Cyber Security Manager.
